Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in the coatings, paint, or chemical industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills and experience that enable delivery of time-pressured projects to meet all schedule, budget, operational, quality, and health & safety targets.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and execute multiple projects and assignments at various stages, working with cross-functional teams and different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Customer-centric mindset, prioritizing product optimization and process efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of pertinent regulatory compliance and approval requirements as it relates to existing and new technology
  • Proficiency working with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, etc.), CAD software, SAP, etc.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English required for internal / external reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage engineering and maintenance initiatives across multiple sites located in Houston and Pflugerville.
  • Ensure engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet technical specifications.
  • Oversee plant modifications, upgrades, and new installations to support production requirements.
  • Actively support and promote plant safety initiatives, driving a culture of safety first in all engineering and maintenance operations.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
  • Manage site maintenance requirements and implement preventative maintenance program.
  • Develop and support the Management of Change Process.
  • Ensure site compliance with written programs, company guidelines and accredited standards (such as TS16949, ISO 14000, and OSHAS 18001, NFPA, API, ASME).
