Lundbeck Seattle BioPharmaceuticals (Lu-SBP), located in Bothell, Washington, is the Process Development Center of Excellence for Biologics within the global Lundbeck CMC organization. Since integrating into Lundbeck in October 2019, Lu-SBP has supported commercial launch of Lundbeck’s first biologic product (Vyepti) and advancement of a growing biologics pipeline in collaboration with our Copenhagen-based Process Science & Validation Team. The Lu-SBP team leads and supports the development of new product candidates from cell line development through commercial validation of Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing processes. Summary: The Manager, Facilities and Building Operations, is responsible for the oversight of the physical facilities for the Seattle site, to ensure all systems are maintained with minimal impact and downtime, and in compliance with all local codes. This position also manages the site reception and shipping/receiving functions, as well as providing oversight and support for lab and facilities equipment service contracts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 10+ years experience in Facility or Property /Project Management
  • General knowledge of commercial mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, HVAC controls
  • Contract, vendor and project management
  • Budget preparation and administration
  • High level proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent customer service
  • Clear and professional written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task, demonstrated initiative and flexibility
  • Ability to accomplish set objectives with minimal supervision
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to lift/carry 40+lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Facility/Property Management or similar
  • Management experience in a commercial trade environment such as construction, mechanical, mechanical controls, electrical

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of all service providers dealing with maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, janitorial services, access control, pest control, and all other services required to maintain the physical facility.
  • Coordinate with Property Manager on building related repairs, as outlined in the Lease Agreement.
  • Project management for small construction projects.
  • Budget preparation and administration, creating and managing purchase orders, processing invoices.
  • Manage a team of three FTEs and one contract employee, including performance evaluations and compensation planning.
  • Manage lab equipment service contracts.
  • Lease administration, including processing monthly rent invoices for payment, verifying annual operating expenses (CAM charges and monthly additional utilities, working with the property management team to resolve maintenance issues , and obtaining vendor COIs as requested.).
  • Work closely with the EHS Manager to ensure the safety of our people, propertyproperty, and processes.
