Caterpillar’s Building Construction Products (BCP) division is hiring a Manager Facility Procurement for their BCP plant in Athens, GA. Role Summary: In this role you will lead supply related activities for a facility to deliver excellence and integration between procurement and the team supporting facility.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Being proactive and committing to action on self-identified job responsibilities and challenges; ability to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals.
Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences
Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
Knowledge of policies, regulations and processes of purchasing; ability to use practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment and services.

Responsibilities

Leading the execution of delivering a lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for the facility from source to dock and additional required points.
Managing team that is responsible for operating, monitoring and improving the supply management procurement functions to meet the defined response time, cost, quality, and delivery targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations.
Ensuring the supplier base can meet the specific goals for Quality, Cost and Delivery.
Collaborating with global business partners and suppliers, on resolving supplier issues and working on projects to improve the business outcome.
Maintain and develop a strong and high performing team.
