The Opportunity: Reporting to the Director CSL Behring, Financial Analysis, as the Manager, Financial Analysis, you will be a part of the Financial Analysis team within the Finance FP&A group. You will provide support for business cases, apply advanced analytics to predict the financial impacts and implications of changes or potential changes to capital projects and portfolios, product mix, yield and supply, major operational, supply chain or network changes and other major changes to the business. You will complete advanced analyses and modelling that is not offered as a “standard” output from the FP&A Reporting & Insights team. In addition to Financial Analysis, you will contribute insights, narrative, and advice on the analysis to support understanding and decision-making related to the financial and operational aspects of the situation or opportunity. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule The Role: Work with Finance Business Partners and the business to understand problems and how to best prioritize projects. Perform complex scenario modelling and analyses for Sites and Functions and selects the right tools and analytic techniques for the given business problems. Models may include predictive, prescriptive and, options analysis and/or Monte Carlo simulation to value alternatives and sensitivities. Prepare complex function and site-specific business cases for Capex and OpEx projects for network and supply changes or site-specific initiatives, ensure business cases have been prepared in accordance with CSL Investment Guidelines and that all key business and financial aspects of an opportunity are considered. Create new statistical and visualization methods for highlighting critical variables on specific issues, opportunities, or situations in response to requests from Finance Business Partners, including in some cases, external reports. This may include generating multiple options to solve a problem and/or synthesizing large quantities of data to recognize patterns and call out deep complex insights. Work closely with the Finance Leadership team members and the Finance Business Partner to understand situations and problems and ensure all financial analyses are effectively interpreted and explained to the Finance Business Partners and other stakeholders to support effective decision making. This includes acting as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide process-specific context for what the patterns identified by the algorithms and models mean as well as making practical recommendations based on analysis. Lead Finance analytics projects that support the business and help drive efficiencies and support decision making and champion the use of advanced analytics. This includes proactively suggesting business problems to address to the business by effectively prioritizing business problems based on urgency and relevance. Manage analysis of Capex projects and portfolios to provide in-depth evaluations and options about current project performance, benefits delivered by the portfolio and the implications of forecasts and project delivery on budgets and broader business performance. Contribute to global projects such as those generated from Finance and Finance Innovation, and champion ongoing process improvements that drive operating efficiencies in End-to-End Operations.
