Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE: The Manager - Financial Reporting plays an integral role in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures in compliance with U.S. GAAP. The role supports external audit requirements, partners across the organization to maintain strong financial discipline and transparency, and combines technical accounting expertise with strong leadership and process improvement skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • CPA with a strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP with the ability to research, interpret, and document conclusions on complex accounting matters.
  • High technical aptitude with experience working in and optimizing accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating sound judgment and accountability in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level materials.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of the company’s monthly, quarterly, and yearly consolidated financial statements and financial reporting packages.
  • Perform detailed financial statement tie-outs, ensuring accuracy across the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and supporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify potential technical accounting issues from new guidance or changes to the business, including staying current on new U.S. GAAP pronouncements and reporting developments.
  • Research and draft technical accounting memos to provide guidance to internal teams for complex transactions, such as leases, business combinations, and debt.
  • Assist in the development of internal control processes and requirements associated with financial reporting, and other technical areas.
  • Maintain reconciliations for complex accounting areas such as debt, contingent consideration, and equity.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the financial reporting process, focusing on speed, accuracy, and automation.
  • Implement best practices, standardize reporting templates, and identify opportunities to enhance system capabilities.
