About The Position

Process technology manager identify process priorities and resolve issues to achieve production targets while meeting safety, quality, and cost standards, leading and guiding engineers. This role requires skilled data analysis capabilities and the ability to communicate with multiple teams and operators to develop and implement solutions. Additionally, You will maintain accountability, discipline, and positive morale in a dynamic, growing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, and manufacturing in a highly automated setting
  • 3 to 6+ years of experience leading and managing multiple processes
  • Experience with large production lines and floor management
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and make sound decisions
  • Effective workflow and process management
  • Planning skills and effective communication of priorities
  • Delegation and directing teams to meet goals
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support entire production team

Responsibilities

  • Address quality reports and events promptly to meet production targets
  • Create accurate reports about events and follow up to ensure issues are resolved
  • Communicate with team and other departments to review activity during other shifts
  • Identify line priorities, problems (down time, equipment issues), and risk range (how much product has been affected by an issue) at beginning of each shift
  • Develop long-term improvement projects to address recurring quality issues
  • Teach and mentor the other engineers, delegating tasks when appropriate
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to solve problems
  • Track production, identify highest fallout, and report/address causes
  • Communicate with local and international vendors and purchasing department to facilitate equipment repairs and replacements
  • Report repair costs using monthly EA form
  • Train production team members on new equipment or procedures
  • Process flow diagrams for handling procedures
  • Send out quality alerts
  • Present problems and solutions to president and plant manager in weekly meetings
  • Participate in Green Belt initiative: Spearhead a long-term cost-saving project, track data, take courses, present reports
  • Manage production and rework processes
  • Maintain a safe and environmentally compliant working area
  • Conduct daily morning meetings, review production and yield goals, quality data, inventory, and company news with team and upper management
  • Manage incident reports, safety alerts, and safety training for new employees and visitors
  • Lead VIP tours of the department
  • Schedule and present at monthly department meetings
  • Conduct monthly 1-on-1 interviews with direct reports
  • Maintain good morale and a positive working environment
  • Ensure documentation with the state is updated through the internal document control system
  • Monitor spec sheets and quality samples
  • Manage quality issues, root causes, and corrective actions
  • Ensure KPIs are up to date and communicated
  • Submit electronic approvals (EAs) for invoices, parts orders, and organizational changes
  • Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: 1. Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain 2. Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned
