Job Summary The Global Leave of Absence Leader is accountable for the global delivery of LOA processes and the accommodations program, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and a high‑quality employee experience. This role partners closely with People Solutions to operationalize and optimize leave and accommodation programs, drive automation and process improvement, manage long‑term sickness and case visibility, and ensure strong governance and risk management.

Requirements

  • Degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven years in leave of absence operations or HR shared services
  • Background in managing multi-region LOA processes and vendor coordination
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and audit readiness
  • Good data and reporting skills; experience with dashboards and performance monitoring
  • Strong operational leadership and team management with the ability to coach and build high-performing global teams
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Strong understanding of automation technologies, RPA tools, and emerging AI applications in HR operations
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and influence decisions
  • High integrity, resilience, adaptability, and focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Understand the connection between the team and business drivers to ensure delivery of lifecycle services are fit for purpose

Responsibilities

  • Lead global LOA administration and the accommodations program
  • Manage long‑term leave cases and sickness absence monitoring
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all LOA processes
  • Drive continuous improvement and digital enablement, including robotics and AI to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort
  • Oversee long-term sickness management and monitoring, build visibility of LOA trends for Benefits COE and business partners
  • Ensure proper communication channels are available to update the team on knowledge management updates, policy changes and are equipped to support employee queries
  • Manage relationships with LOA vendors and third‑party administrators
  • Resolve escalations and monitor service delivery in partnership with the Vendor Management team
  • Collaborate with People Solutions, Benefits, and regional HR teams to ensure program success
  • Ensure adherence to statutory leave regulations and internal controls
  • Support audit preparation, reporting, and maintenance of quality controls
  • Monitor risks, escalate issues appropriately, and maintain global compliance awareness
  • Responsible for ensuring related policies and articles are updated by the team and owners for use with the Lifecycle team and Employee self-service
  • Leverage analytics for dashboards, metrics, and performance reporting
  • Provide strategic insights from LOA and accommodation trends to inform policy updates, process enhancements, and leadership decision-making globally
  • Prepare presentations and insight summaries to inform leadership decisions
  • Accelerate digital transformation efforts across lifecycle and compensation processes, embedding automation and intelligent workflows through collaboration and support of the overarching digital and AI transformation strategy
  • Own and report on all operational metrics, accuracy, turnaround times, compliance, and employee satisfaction and ensures robust governance and risk management
  • Responsible for leading the team with accountability and empathy while driving global alignment and operational discipline
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, digital enablement, and customer centric service delivery
  • Build strong partnerships across People Experience, People Solutions, Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Act as a knowledge expert in Leave of Absence management to equip the team with best practices and guidance
