About The Position

Manage the operations of family services, including supervision, direction, leadership, training, and the development of resources for program participants. Partner with the DPS Head Start management and family service teams to provide leadership for the delivery of child and family services. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in social work or social services related field required
  • 3+ years of Family Services experience
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Ability to effectively lead a team
  • High degree of integrity in handling confidential information
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement of family service team performance and initiatives in the realms of parent engagement, documentation, operations, performance management, and client satisfaction
  • Organize systems and procedures for guiding the work of family service staff to facilitate the delivery of high quality services to children, families, school staff, and community partners.
  • Manage federal and district compliance and reporting requirements

  • Guide intra and interdepartmental and community collaboration efforts.
  • Conduct ongoing self-assessment of family services and oversee implementation of recommendations
  • Support family service staff in identifying and addressing cultural biases and creating a team environment supportive of open dialogue and continual learning.
  • Developing collaborative partnerships with DPS departments and community agencies
