Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech The Manager, Health Economics and Market Access is responsible for partnering with the internal HEMA and US Reimbursement team to support the execution of hospital quality improvement initiatives as the program grows nationally and support US and Global patient access and reimbursement needs. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Health Economics and Market Access and work closely with the US Reimbursement, Global HEMA, Clinical, Medical, Commercial and the Healthcare Solutions teams to execute on and communicate the health economics strategy. This person will also help support field reimbursement education, and partner with the HEMA and Reimbursement team on overall project management needs. This role will provide critical support and drive execution of Health Economics and Market Access initiatives as we work to expand patient access and make Impella technologies and Heart Recovery the standard of care. Individual contributor who is a developing subject matter expert, who works independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelors required, Masters preferred in Public Health or Health Economics
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Health economics
  • Global Health economics experience
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment that requires coordination and alignment of multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required: The ability to communicate complex messages in simple language is required
  • Understanding of RWD use and application in health economic research
  • Skilled in Project management

Responsibilities

  • Executes strategic market access deliverables to build a leading presence at meetings with authorities, clients, industry associations, and other business partners.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support execution of data-driven quality improvement initiatives that directly tie to the business priorities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align QI program with short and long-term customer and business needs
  • Support targeted internal and external process-improvement initiatives to support hospital/system goals and demonstrate improved patient outcomes
  • Support cross-functional HEMA and Reimbursement team priorities by developing and executing projects that help expand patient access and reimbursement in the U.S. and globally; projects may include HTA dossier development, editing, drafting clinical summaries, creating clinical and economic value messaging tools/resources, and creating presentations for hospital and physician audiences.
  • Develop resources global HEMA resources to expand patient access
  • Inform evidence generation strategy to support pipeline products
