Requirements

BS/BA in related field plus 10 years or more years of related experience.
Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
A current, active Secret security clearance is required.
Previous leadership experience.
Expert-level knowledge of, and experience with, FAR, DFAR, and other relevant rules and regulations.
Experience with OTAs and Commercial Item Determination.
Solid knowledge of intellectual property and policies.
Proven ability to lead and close complex negotiations requiring Current Cost or Pricing Data and Truthful Cost or Pricing Data certification.
Experience with agreements to support business development, program management and engineering development teams (ex. NDAs, teaming, bailment agreements, etc.).
Experience dealing with the US Government and major industry defense & electronics companies, as your customer.
Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to prepare spreadsheets and presentations.
Independent, take-charge, self-starter able to identify gaps or issues, develop solutions, and implement changes as needed with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Provide active contract negotiation and administration on a variety of programs encompassing all phases of the contract life cycle (pre-proposal through contract closeout).
Collaborate with other employees in the department, cross-functionally and with program personnel, and for establishing effective relationships with key customers.
Be the contracting expert in the room when working with program teams.
Review contracts and related documents to assess risk to the company and recommend mitigation approaches. Ensure compliance with various federal regulations and BAE Systems policies.
Lead a team of direct reports.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
