About The Position

Provides subject‑matter expertise in Radiology and imaging clinical information systems, supporting diagnostic and procedural imaging operations across the enterprise. Partners with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to translate radiology workflow needs into stable, scalable IT solutions. Manages, assesses, plans, and organizes user workflow within the department. Leads workflow design, implementation and support to users throughout the organization. Acts as a liaison for site leadership related to the department, as well as other collaborating IS teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required.

  • Experience supporting Radiology or imaging clinical information systems in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of radiology workflows, including scheduling, orders, imaging exams, results, and downstream clinical or operational dependencies.
  • Experience working directly with radiologists, technologists, operational leaders, and technical teams.
  • Experience supporting system upgrades, enhancements, and multi-site imaging implementations.
  • Demonstrated ability to document workflows, analyze issues, and translate clinical needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed health system or multi-site imaging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a primary escalation point for Radiology IT workflow issues, coordinating resolution across clinical users, vendors, and internal IS teams.
  • Supports implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Radiology and imaging-related applications, workflows, and integrations.
  • Partners with Radiology leadership, site administrators, and clinical staff to align IT solutions with operational throughput, patient access, and quality goals.
  • Coordinates testing, validation, and go-live support for system upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations impacting radiology workflows.
  • Identifies workflow inefficiencies and system gaps through direct user engagement, issue trends, and operational feedback.
  • Ensures adherence to enterprise governance, change management, and standardization practices while supporting local radiology operational needs.
  • Participates in incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning related to Radiology and imaging systems.
  • Provides leadership to Implementation & Optimization team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
  • Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
  • Leads design, implementation and enhancement clinical workflow for Departmental Clinical the health systems.
  • Evaluates and assists with documentation of current processes, establishing a baseline for developmental improvements of future work-flows.
  • Collaborates with staff and application teams.
  • Promotes enterprise standardization, utilization and leading practices with site clinical leadership and staff including collaborating with interdisciplinary process improvement teams in identifying and recommending uses and improvements of current the health systems.
  • Collaborates with key departmental personnel and stakeholders to define data reporting requirements and analysis in support of patient/clinical records, performance improvement and departmental decision-making.
  • Acts as a liaison for site leadership related to the Departmental Clinical the health systems, as well as other collaborating teams.
  • Ensures education of Departmental and support staff to optimize information the health system/ applications and maintain integrity.
  • Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates any direct reports.
  • Ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely fashion.
