About The Position

Kilwins Chocolates, Fudge & Ice Cream works to create simply the best confectionery and ice cream experience our customers will ever enjoy. Our store is casual, but we do expect professionalism, punctuality, and an outgoing personality. The role of the Manager in Training (or Assistant Manager) is to work in tandem with the General Manager and team leads to advance initiatives to increase sales and regulate costs of the restaurant in order to run a successful business. Because chocolate and ice cream cravings do not follow a typical 9-5 schedule, availability to work some nights and most weekends. Hours for the position are full time at 25-40 per week. The Manager in Training will regularly exercise discretion in assisting the General Manager in managing the overall operation of the store. A majority of time is spent working in the kitchen on Made In Store production and supervising and directing the workforce. A Manager in Training assists with keeping labor overhead and food costs down while increasing sales. This role takes responsibility for customer satisfaction, team member supervision, quality control, and maintaining a well-trained team. Flexibility, strong communication skills, leadership, and the desire to provide an excellent experience for customers is crucial to success in this position. Advancement opportunities available!
