The Manager, Indirect Procurement Operations is responsible for leading enterprise indirect procurement execution, governance, and category performance accountability across multiple sites. This role ensures contract compliance, operational stability, and disciplined execution of sourcing strategies across indirect categories. This position serves as the primary operational leader for indirect procurement, bridging centralized strategy and local execution while building governance, standard processes, and supplier performance management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related)
  • 7+ years in procurement, supply chain, or operations
  • 3+ years leading teams
  • Ownership of indirect category strategy execution across multi-site operations
  • Strong contract and supplier management skills
  • ERP / P2P system experience
  • Experience leading multi-site procurement operations and indirect category management

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop site-based indirect buyers while driving consistent execution of enterprise sourcing strategies across assigned categories
  • Serve as escalation point for supply, quality, and fulfillment issues
  • Provide operational leadership and escalation support to plant teams
  • Serve as operational category owner for assigned indirect categories (MRO, Consumables, Logistics & Warehousing, IT, and others as assigned)
  • Lead competitive sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations across assigned indirect categories
  • Own commercial strategy including pricing models, contract structures, and supplier performance expectations
  • Identify and drive value-creation opportunities through supplier collaboration and market intelligence
  • Enforce contract usage and pricing compliance
  • Reduce maverick spend
  • Establish standardized purchasing procedures
  • Lead audit and compliance reviews
  • Drive enterprise-wide indirect procurement governance standards across multiple sites
  • Influence adoption of standardized procurement practices across stakeholders
  • Lead supplier performance and commercial relationship management
  • Lead regular performance reviews
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate corrective actions
  • Lead indirect procurement transformation initiatives aligned to evolving operating model
  • Support implementation of new supplier management and procurement governance frameworks
  • Drive implementation of procurement SOPs
  • Support Procure-To-Pay (P2P) governance
  • Improve ordering, receiving, and invoicing processes
  • Partner with IT and Finance on system improvements
  • Track operational KPIs (e.g., OTIF, compliance, cycle time)
  • Support savings and performance reporting
  • Identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Coach and develop buyers
  • Lead onboarding and training
  • Build standardized work practice
