About The Position

Lead and develop the IT Business Analysis (BA) team to manage business and technical requirements across all software systems and software development projects. Ensure alignment with corporate strategy to maximize the value of technology investments. Drive enterprise-wide transformation, business operations and data-informed decision-making through precise documentation and effective collaboration with stakeholders, leadership and project delivery teams. Cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on productivity, continuous growth, innovation, and adherence to best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, computer information systems, or related field is required. Ten or more years of equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Two to four years management experience is required. Five or more years performing in leadership roles may be considered.
  • Expert knowledge of business requirements gathering and management, and a proven ability to leverage project tools is required.
  • Background and expertise in project methodology, business requirements, and project governance required.
  • A proven ability to coach others in their development and effectively manage performance is required.
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts is required.
  • Working knowledge of insurance concepts and business needs is required, or enrollment into industry specific training will be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in project roles including project management, product owner, business analyst, QA team lead, developer, or technical lead is preferred.
  • Five years insurance background or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business analysis strategies, standards, and processes to ensure requirements are effectively captured, documented, and aligned with business goals and technical capabilities.
  • Lead team members in the creation of project-specific analysis deliverables, including business requirements, functional/non-functional specifications, process models, and stakeholder documentation to provide transparency and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead team members in best practices for conducting workshops, performing walk-throughs, obtaining signoffs, and doing requirements hand-offs with developers, quality assurance, and user acceptance testers.
