We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Manager Logistics Operations in Morton, IL. Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. Job Summary: As the Manager Logistics Operations, you will manage the day-to-day operations of a multi-shift inbound processing center.

Requirements

  • Distribution Center Management: Knowledge of distribution center management; ability to operate a warehouse or distribution center that handles the flow of goods from supplier to production to customer.
  • Warehouse Management: Knowledge of the policies, processes and systems of warehouse management; ability to effectively manage one or more warehouses or distribution centers.
  • Experience with EWM
  • Experience with PowerBi
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related fields
  • Previous leader of leaders

Responsibilities

  • Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations staff
  • managing, motivating, and developing management team.
  • Overseeing operations activities, ensuring that safety, and schedules and performance requirements are met and system resources are used effectively.
  • Driving improvements for overall operations performance and implementing safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms.
  • Inspires continuous improvement of logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.
