We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Manager Logistics (3rd Shift) in Lafayette, IN. Job Summary: As the Manager Logistics (3rd Shift), you will develop, oversee, and strive to maximize the efficiency of the Lafayette / Lebanon logistics operations necessary to provide end-to-end support to the Lafayette Large Engine Center (LEC).

Requirements

  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Transportation: Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or similar experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and develop logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory specific to area of responsibility.
  • Lead the 3rd shift logistics team in executing the daily operational responsibilities required to support the manufacturing processes at the LEC.
  • Improve logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.
