UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI AND LEGENDS GLOBAL The University of Miami has entered a long-term partnership with Legends to oversee athletics ticket sales, customer service, annual fund solicitation/engagement, ticket operations, digital marketing, corporate partnerships, and multi-media rights opportunities. In addition, Legends will represent the University in developing campus-wide strategic partnerships. As the exclusive partner for Miami Athletics, Legends will engage Hurricanes fans and donors, local and regional South Florida businesses, and national brands with unique and integrated sponsorship, ticketing, and hospitality options. THE ROLE The Manager, NIL Activation will play a vital role in supporting the execution of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) operations for the Legends Global Partnership Sales and Activation team at The University of Miami. This position manages NIL accounts within the property and plays a key part in ensuring successful activation for brand partners and student-athletes. The Manager, NIL Activation, will take ownership of NIL deal execution including inventory tracking, deliverable coordination, and proof of performance reporting. The position serves as day-to-day contact for internal stakeholders and external partners, while identifying process improvements and sharing best practices. The role reports to the VP, Partnership Activation, and Athletics staff. This individual must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in NIL, sports marketing, sponsorship activation, college athletics or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience managing or executing NIL campaigns in a collegiate or agency setting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary contact for NIL accounts, serving as the liaison between brand partners, student-athletes, property teams and athletic department staff.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and follow up of NIL deal activations, ensuring fulfillment, compliance, and a positive experience.
  • Assist in coordinating logistics for NIL content production, including scheduling with brand partners and student-athletes.
  • Provide on-site production support for NIL content shoots as needed, ensuring successful delivery of brand partner obligations.
  • Manage NIL inventory across multiple accounts providing regular updates on assets to internal teams.
  • Apply judgement in known situations, escalating complex issues or risks to the appropriate leader.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships and confidentiality with student-athletes, university partners, athletic department and staff, serving as a trusted and respected representative of Legends and the University.
  • Stay current on national NIL legislation, trends and peer activity.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week, including home games, select events and NIL activations occurring outside traditional business hours
  • Manage reporting and proof of performance of NIL deliverables.
