About The Position

The Manager of Business Solutions – Marketing & Business Development (BD) is a technology-focused role responsible for the architecture, optimization, integration, and governance of systems supporting the firm’s Marketing and Business Development functions. This individual serves as the portfolio owner for CRM and related marketing technologies, ensuring platforms are scalable, secure, well-integrated, and aligned with firmwide technology standards. This role requires a strong technical foundation in CRM platforms, marketing technology ecosystems, systems integration, data architecture, and reporting. The Manager partners closely with Marketing/BD leadership, Enterprise Transformation Technology teams, Infrastructure, Information Security, Data Strategy, and external vendors to translate business requirements into well-designed, sustainable technology solutions.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in business systems management, CRM administration, or marketing technology architecture, preferably within a law firm, professional services, or complex enterprise environment.
  • Previous hands-on experience configuring and supporting CRM platforms (e.g., InterAction, Salesforce, Peppermint) and integrating them with other enterprise systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field required; CRM or platform certifications strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of: APIs and system integrations Data architecture and data governance principles Workflow automation and business process mapping Reporting and BI tools
  • Experience working closely with infrastructure and information security teams in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing system enhancements, testing cycles, and vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and project coordination skills.
  • This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require).

Responsibilities

  • Technology Ownership & Architecture Serve as the technical portfolio owner for Marketing and BD systems, including CRM (e.g., InterAction, Salesforce, Peppermint), experience management, proposal automation, marketing automation, and analytics platforms.
  • Define and maintain the technical roadmap for Marketing/BD systems, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, data governance, and security standards.
  • Evaluate existing system architecture, integrations, and data flows to identify performance gaps, redundancies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Lead technical assessments of new tools, including integration feasibility, security review coordination, and scalability analysis.
  • Stay current on CRM architecture trends, martech integration patterns, data management practices, and AI-enabled marketing technologies.
  • Act as the primary technical lead for CRM configuration, enhancement, and optimization.
  • Oversee system configuration, workflow automation, user roles, security models, and data structures.
  • Document and maintain integrations between CRM, marketing automation platforms, data warehouses, finance systems, and other enterprise applications.
  • Manage APIs, middleware solutions, and data synchronization processes to ensure reliable and accurate data exchange.
  • Partner with internal developers and third-party vendors to deliver custom enhancements and ensure adherence to development best practices.
  • Collaborate with Data Strategy and BI teams to define data models, reporting structures, and analytics frameworks supporting Marketing and BD initiatives.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance within CRM and related systems.
  • Support the development of dashboards and reporting solutions that leverage CRM and marketing system data.
  • Establish monitoring processes for system performance, data health, and user adoption metrics.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Marketing/BD and Enterprise Technology (Applications, Infrastructure, Information Security, Data Strategy).
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Participate in firmwide technology initiatives to ensure Marketing/BD systems are aligned with broader enterprise efforts.
  • Coordinate with other portfolio owners to maintain architectural consistency and integration integrity.
  • Support governance processes for evaluating, prioritizing, and tracking Marketing and BD technology initiatives.
  • Oversee release management, testing protocols, and system change documentation.
  • Monitor vendor performance, manage technical deliverables, and coordinate upgrades, renewals, and system patches.
  • Ensure systems comply with firm security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
