About The Position

This is an on-site role five days per week at 3840 East Ray Road, Phoenix, Arizona with up to 5% travel. The Manager of Paralegals in Training (PIT) reports to the Manager of Legal Training and is responsible for the hiring, training oversight, coaching, development, and daily management of the Paralegals in Training team. This role ensures PIT team members are learning and consistently following firm processes, contributing appropriately within the POD structure, and developing the technical skills and professional readiness required to transition into a Paralegal position when competency and role availability align. Success in this position is dependent on building and maintaining a high-performing training pipeline that supports firm growth while protecting quality and client outcomes. The PIT program is not time-bound to a fixed duration; progression is determined by demonstrated competency, performance standards, and paralegal role availability. The Manager of PIT must be a subject matter expert in the internal processes, systems, and expectations for paralegal work and must be able to coach trainees through progressive development while maintaining strong morale and culture. Through coordinated oversight with the Manager of Legal Training and collaboration with paralegal leadership, the Manager of PIT is responsible for ensuring training standards are executed consistently, trainee performance is measured and documented, and readiness decisions are made with clarity, fairness, and accountability. This role partners closely with Legal Training, Legal Operations, and paralegal leadership to continuously improve the PIT program without sacrificing team engagement or culture.
