We are currently seeking an experienced Public Health Professional to develop company-wide public health programs for compliance with public health laws, contractual commitments, and emergency response. Responsibilities also include oversight, coordination and follow up on public health investigations and inspections throughout the Xanterra Travel Collection companies. Duties also include monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on public health performance. This position is a vital member of the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team, working closely with risk management and operations in the field as well as key stakeholders at the corporate level.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years public health experience, preferably in the hospitality sector
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to quickly become proficient in a variety of company sanctioned software and systems
  • Identify problems and apply solutions (creativity)
  • Excellent communications (oral and written)
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in the English language
  • Ability to work with limited direction
  • Travel will be required, 30% estimated.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Xanterra Travel Collection subject matter expert on public health management, providing consult as necessary throughout the organization.
  • Identify necessary areas for public health protocols throughout Xanterra Travel Collection communities and maintain a company-wide programs and training catalog.
  • Design, document and develop training for company-wide public health programs.
  • Partner with location operations teams to implement public health programs and training.
  • Provides quantitative and qualitative public health assessments as necessary and directed.
  • Identify and develop innovation solutions that allow for efficient and effective public health compliance.
  • Track illness and disease in an effort to ensure appropriate reporting and prevention measures are initiated to stop the spread.
  • Liaise with public health officials, outside contractors and others as necessary on matters of public health and food safety.
  • Partner with HR and Risk Management through wellness efforts to advocate for healthy lifestyles in XTC communities.
  • Respond to company public health emergencies and investigative needs.
