About The Position

UEG is currently looking for a Manager, Music Rights & Partnerships to join our Entertainment sector, supporting the day-to-day operations of our Music practice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with early-career experience in the music industry to work at the intersection of brands, artists, and culture. This individual will play a key role in executing music-driven brand campaigns, managing relationships with artists and partners, and supporting music licensing efforts across UEG’s portfolio of major CPG clients. The ideal candidate lives and breathes music, with a strong pulse on live events, emerging and established artists, and the evolving ways fans engage with music and culture. Working closely with senior team members, this role offers hands-on experience across partnership execution, licensing, and client management within a fast-paced agency environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in the music industry with exposure to brand partnerships, ideally at a record label, artist management company, talent agency, or related environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Strong understanding of the music landscape including artists, live events, and fan engagement trends
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
  • Passion for music, culture, and the role music plays in brand storytelling
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Execution Manage and execute multiple music-led brand campaigns simultaneously, serving as the primary day-to-day liaison between artist teams, partner properties such as festivals, and UEG clients
  • Own day-to-day project management including timelines, deliverables, status trackers, meeting agendas, and recaps
  • Attend and support on-site execution for events, shoots, and key program milestones as needed
  • Develop client- and partner-facing materials including pitch decks, proposals, briefs, and vetting documents
  • Participate in internal brainstorms, contributing music and cultural insights to shape creative ideas and partnership opportunities
  • Conduct ongoing research on artists, partners, and cultural trends to inform client recommendations and campaign development
  • Music Licensing Oversight Serve as the point of contact for inbound music licensing requests, coordinating between UEG clients and rights holders
  • Work with clients to define music briefs including usage, rights, and key deal terms
  • Maintain organized trackers for licensing requests, contracts, deliverables, and invoices
  • Finance, Legal & Account Coordination Partner with legal teams including internal Business Affairs, outside counsel, and client legal to support contract development and execution
  • Work closely with finance and account teams to track budgets, process payments, and ensure programs stay on track financially
  • Partnerships & Industry Engagement Build and maintain relationships with key players across the music ecosystem including labels, managers, talent agencies, and live event promoters
  • Attend industry events, artist showcases, and live experiences to identify opportunities and bring forward insights for clients
