About The Position

HCT seeks an experienced nursing professional to serve as the Interim Manager of Patient Safety for a 390+ bed hospital in California. Responsibilities include: Oversight of the Patient Safety Program, including the Patient Safety Plan requirements for the collection, analysis and reporting of events and patient safety data, f acilitating investigations surrounding risk events, and coordinating improvement opportunities. Patient complaint and grievance investigations and resolution. Ensuring all accreditation and regulatory requirements for patient safety are fully met.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree required, or five (5) years of related job or industry experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of risk management, patient safety and/or other related professional experience within an acute care hospital setting including event reporting, investigations, RCA's, patient compliant/grievance investigations and resolution.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience managing or supervising employees in an acute care hospital setting.
• EMR: Cerner
