Responsible for accurate calculations of payroll taxes and timely payroll tax filings to all appropriate jurisdictions. Ensure taxes are calculated accurately and sent timely each week. Responsible for quarterly and annual tax withholding filings. Responsible for annual creation and distribution of W2 forms to all MTC employees. Reconcile payroll and payroll tax accounts. Assist MTC locations with payroll tax related inquiries. Responsible for interdivisional entries related to payroll taxes. Resolve inquiries from the tax agencies in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of audit requests as they arise. Maintain accountability of property; adheres to safety practices. Contribute to our company Culture of Caring by maintaining positive and respectful relationships with employees, customers, vendors, program recipients and our community. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum four years of experience, two of which must be supervisory.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of federal government accounting procedures and requirements.
  • Must be willing and able to travel.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Unless waived by management, valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities
