About The Position

This role offers a key opportunity for an experienced People Operations professional to lead operational excellence across the full employee lifecycle in a fast-growing, multi-state healthcare environment. The Manager will design, implement, and continuously improve processes for onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and team member lifecycle management, ensuring compliance, consistency, and a positive employee experience. You will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize total rewards programs, oversee benefits administration, and manage vendor relationships. The role balances strategic initiatives with hands-on operational execution, and provides guidance to employees and managers on complex HR matters. Remote work and hybrid options create flexibility while maintaining collaboration and engagement across teams. Your contributions will directly impact employee satisfaction, operational efficiency, and organizational growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR, preferably within fast-growing healthcare or multi-state environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of California and multi-state employment laws, policies, and handbooks.
  • Demonstrated experience managing total rewards programs, open enrollment, and HR systems.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS, onboarding platforms, and PEO partnerships.
  • Exceptional data analytics, reporting, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities with a strategic yet hands-on approach.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% to operational centers as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of core people processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and lifecycle activities to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Partner with leadership to optimize total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, and rewards administration.
  • Serve as the primary contact for complex employee inquiries and provide guidance on policy interpretation.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, including home care, transportation, and ancillary service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with California and multi-state employment laws and maintain audit readiness.
  • Plan and execute People Operations calendar activities such as annual Open Enrollment, system readiness, and employee communications.
