About The Position

The Manager, Print Production plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between creative concepts and physical reality. This position requires a blend of technical print knowledge—spanning digital, offset and prepress workflows—and strong business acumen. This role will lead the strategic sourcing and execution of print campaigns, managing the balance between high-quality output, cost-efficiency and tight deadlines. As a leader within the production function, this role will serve as the technical expert for internal teams while managing external vendor relationships to ensure operational excellence. This role is hybrid, with flexibility around in-office time. We don’t operate a rigid set-days-in-office policy; instead, expectations will be discussed and aligned during interviews.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of print technologies (digital, offset, large format), color management, paper/substrate specifications, finishing techniques and press workflows
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel for cost analysis and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with ERP systems is highly beneficial
  • Strong skills in cost analysis, budget management and negotiation. Ability to analyze estimates and invoices to ensure financial accuracy
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical print requirements to non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree or Certification in Print Management or a related field required; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in print production, print buying or a print shop/production environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of print projects from initial concept through to final delivery. This includes scheduling, tracking and managing complex production timelines to ensure on-time delivery

  • Partner with creative project managers and graphic designers to provide technical consultation on print feasibility, paper selection and special finishing techniques during the design phase
