About The Position

This is your chance to be a part of an in-house Technology team that's creating consumer-facing, cutting-edge technologies revolutionizing the hospitality industry around the world! As a Manager Quality Engineering Mobile Apps, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Quality Engineering team reporting to the Senior Director of Quality Engineering, you will support projects for the Hilton Honors App. What you'll do during a typical day: Lead through context, not control, clearly articulate goals, priorities, constraints, and success measures. Empower teams to make decisions closest to the work while maintaining accountability for outcomes. Balance speed, quality, and risk with sound judgment and long‑term thinking. Research, initiate, implement and collaborate on advanced automated testing strategies. Minimize unnecessary rules and friction by reinforcing simple principles and best practices, including acting in Hilton's best interest. How you'll collaborate with others: You will lead through clarity, trust, and accountability, while building and sustaining high‑performing teams. You will partner with technical and process team members like App Dev, DevOps, QE, Product, Design and other disciplines to deliver high quality features. You will model vulnerability by actively seeking feedback, sharing learnings, and normalizing growth through experimentation. You will build and maintain high‑performing teams by setting clear expectations, addressing performance early, and prioritizing talent density. You will serve as a culture carrier by demonstrating ownership, candor, and accountability in daily leadership behaviors. You will influence the development of a quality automation plan that considers our software development lifecycle, manual testing, and integrated systems in collaboration with QE Leadership. Projects you'll take ownership of: You will leadership and mentoring of assigned QE team members. You will drive reducing escaped defects. You will track and report quality metrics. You will ensure Mobile Apps platform deliverables align with quality engineering strategy and best practices.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in the field of quality automation
  • Experience with a variety of testing methodologies such as Snapshot, Functionality, API, Unit, Component and more
  • Experience with test case management (e.g. Jira, Xray, etc.)
  • Experience using Charles Proxy with native mobile apps

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience
  • Three (3) + years of management experience in Quality Assurance
  • Experience using Git-based version control systems
  • Understanding of the current and future impact of AI on mobile technologies
