About The Position

The Regional Manager HSE is responsible for implementing, overseeing, and adapting policies and programs to improve the YF NA organization’s environmental and safety performance. The Regional Manager HSE ensures the organization complies with current and future internal and external regulations and standards and protects its reputation. The Regional Manager will assist the regional leadership teams with setting long-term direction for global safety programs and systems and provides support and leadership for specific regional EHS business processes and risk intervention programs. Main Responsibilities, Requirements and Competencies Monitor EHS performance, identify risks, areas of improvement, conduct and manage EHS audits and on-site inspections to identify EHS workplace hazards. Manage investigation of EHS incidents for an assigned YF NA region, prepare Corrective Action reports and recommendations, implement waste management programs, develop and drive EHS trainings, manage relationships with community of EHS stakeholders. Research, evaluate and recommend changes to improve EHS performance. Provide expertise and advice on regional EHS issues to area managers and plant managers. Eliminate the risk of occupational injury and illness, and environmental non-compliance in a manufacturing environment. Coordinate and Schedule all internal and external system audits to maintain required certifications. Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of EHS professionals. Implementation of EHS systems according to norms ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Maintain relationships with the community, EHS groups, or other stakeholders impacted by the EHS performance of the organization. Coordinate compliance audits, inspections, including insurance inspections. Ensure all new equipment meets all legal and YF requirements. Manage the plant’s occupational health provider. Set the standard and cultivate the EHS culture in the plant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree; Area of Study: Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or similar.
  • Equivalent work experience or professional certifications obtained by applicants (e.g. CSP, CIH, CHMM, Registered Nurse, etc.) may also be considered for certain positions
  • 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience specific to EHS Management.
  • 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • Experience of a minimum of two years in managing regulatory compliance in OSHA, worker’s compensation, manufacturing health and safety training, environmental and ergonomics.
  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements including internal and external customers such as OE and NGO requirements; training and record keeping requirements, ISO documentation requirements and formats.
