About The Position

As the Manager, Retirement Operations, you will provide leadership, coaching and development to a team of retirement plan processors as part of the Retirement Plan Operations team. You will direct and oversee the management of assigned financial processing of complex data and financial transactions, ensuring that all information is complete and in good order. You will provide hands on leadership to your team with a focus on policy adherence, procedure usage, and the ownership and adherence of critical metrics such as productivity. You will serve as a subject matter expert for the operations teams while collaborating with your peers across the Retirement Plan Services organization. You will provide ongoing support and development of the cross-functional operating model for the fast based environment, overseeing hiring, performance management, training and cross-training opportunities. Requirements

  • 5+ years in Client Customer Support and Operations that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 2+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience
  • Adaptable and able to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast paced, team oriented environment
  • Operations experience – overseeing multiple skills, disciplines and functions
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to influence at all levels of leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with a creative, collaborative style.
  • 4 year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
  • Travel: Up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • You will lead a dynamic team in an environment that is constantly changing.
  • You will provide training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and give honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent for both internal and flex trained staff.
  • You will direct and evaluate individual/team performance and take appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.
  • You will also establish and implement priorities, performance goals and objects to ensure group results.
  • You will direct and provide hands-on leadership on the processing and administration of complex data and financial transactions, ensuring accurate completion in a timely and efficient manner.
  • You will monitor quality assurance checks and audits on financial processing transactions.
  • You will provide guidance to team members on complex data and financial processing, while reviewing and resolving complex escalated issues.
  • You will also analyze productivity metrics and provide complex and comprehensive analysis regarding financial processing and service performance to leadership.
  • You will oversee financial processing volumes and short- and long-term staffing requirements.
  • You will build organizational capability and ensuring top talent is hired and retained.
  • You will design and implement team training plans based on assessment of team needs, ensuring team members are appropriately trained and cross trained to process and respond to customer questions, concerns and/or requests.
  • You will build relationships with internal stakeholders to effectively understand and anticipate projects, products or regulatory changes which may impact processes and procedures.
  • You will identify and direct the implementation of process improvement that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the department.
