About The Position

A Sales Engineering Manager at Strategy plays an integral role in the sales of our world class enterprise platform to deploy unique analytics and mobility applications. The person will be responsible for managing all facets of the sales engineering function for the Latin American team. These include leading the most important sales cycles, ensure technical plus professional excellence along with recruiting, development and training of a team of Sales Engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent business or technical education required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Sales Engineering
  • Experience in leadership and/or management, ideally in international environment
  • Exceptional oral, presentation and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability
  • Fluent in Spanish and English required
  • Ability to articulate complex topics to novice or technical audience, and to translate technical advantages into business benefits
  • Engaged, positive attitude able to prioritize in demanding environment
  • Ability to travel as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Business Analytics and Mobility systems a major plus
  • General knowledge of RDBMS, OLAP, client/server, and web/internet technologies
  • Successful completion of Strategy certification program upon employment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical and business positioning and demonstrations of the Strategy platform at important customer engagements or events.
  • Deep understanding of the implementation of the entire suite of Strategy software in rapid deployment and proof of concept scenarios.
  • Sales Cycle Leadership: The position is expected to be personally involved in the most important sales cycles in their assigned region to ensure the highest possibility of success. This may include individual contribution.
  • Effectiveness and High-Quality Dedication: The role ensures the team is up to speed on latest Positioning and Demonstration Content and Practices. Deliverables to customers are of high quality following and nurturing best practices.
  • Sales Engineering Economy: Motivate the team to share best practices, analyze latest market trends and active contribute to the SE Economy.
  • Recruiting, Developing and Managing: The role is expected to recruit and develop the highest caliber Sales Engineers. Development includes onboarding of New Hires next to ensuring all Sales Engineers are ready to perform their duties in sales cycles. Management includes ensuring all tasks are completed and performed at the highest level of quality.
  • Company and Sales Engineering Process Support: The role leads compliance to company and Sales Engineering Processes and Systems. Resource Allocation: The role is expected to monitor SE supported sales cycles and identify and solve potential bottlenecks or resource conflicts.
