About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in building, implementing and executing collaborative business solutions which are aligned with both the customer and business units to achieve business results. This role serves as a customer expert and assists with strategic initiatives with our Club and Grocery Sales Team as well as BU partners. Primary responsibilities include owning trade fund management, while analyzing brand performance, category performance, merchandising, and distribution. Self-starters with strong sense of ownership are desired in this role. Innate curiosity along with the willingness and ability to learn quickly are valued.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in customer trade marketing, sales, marketing, sales analytics, revenue management or category management.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, with joint growth planning experience a plus; Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence cross-functional team members
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills; Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Strong ability to articulate complex information in a concise manner and with proper context
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate-Advanced level for MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams; prior experience with Tyson CRM preferred
  • Special Skills: Excellent planning and project management skills; Syndicated Data experience; Strong Excel and data manipulation skills; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Business acumen and ownership
  • Direct Reports: 0
  • Travel: Some travel is required, up to 10% of time

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of customer strategies and execution of key initiatives, score carding against aligned growth initiatives
  • Key point of contact for connecting field sales teams to the internal business unit.
  • Management of sales strategy planning and trade budget for customers and specific categories.
  • Provides key input to demand and financial forecast
  • Communicates timely and concise, effectively both internally and externally
  • Helps lead special projects, planning, and execution as assigned
  • Participates in the development of annual and long-term strategic channel plans
  • Support the development of 4Ps strategy
  • Guide development of selling materials and sales training for innovation and base business initiatives
  • Runs parallel to BU partners on RVAP initiatives, representing the voice of the customer in decision making and projects
  • Embodies a “One Tyson” approach that benefits both Tyson and the customer
