This role provides operational leadership and clinical supervision for the pediatric psychosocial clinical team, including social workers, community health workers, embedded behavioral health clinicians, and resource specialists. The manager partners closely with department of pediatrics leadership and the clinical leadership across ambulatory pediatrics including borth primary and specialty care. This role will lead and participate in efforts of the team to deliver high-quality, equitable, and integrated psychosocial care for children and families across the continuum of care. The position requires some travel to various sites where ambulatory care is offered. Job Summary Responsible for managing a team of social workers, licensed mental health clinicians, community health workers and resource specialists, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to address the psychosocial needs of individuals and families. The Social Work Manager also plays a key role in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and strategic planning to enhance the impact of these services. Requirements

  • Master's Degree Social Work required
  • Massachusetts Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW
  • Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker - LICSW
  • Clinical social work experience 5-7 years required
  • Supervisory or management experience 2-3 years required
  • Advanced clinical skills and knowledge of psychosocial assessment and intervention.
  • Ability to manage and lead staff.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and documentation systems.
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and privacy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of social workers, licensed mental health clinicians, community health workers and resource specialists, providing supervision, guidance, and support.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, case conferences, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide clinical supervision, offering expertise on complex cases and ethical considerations.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Oversee the coordination of psychosocial services services, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of psychosocial programs and services, including referral workflows, performance metrics, and quality improvement in collaboration with department leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for program expansion, improvement, and integration.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts for the department.
