About The Position

About the Team The TWF Engineering team is responsible for building scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that power critical enterprise workflows. We focus on delivering high-quality products that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. ServiceNow's IT Operations Management (ITOM) platform delivers AI-powered observability to help enterprises reduce alert noise, prevent outages, and accelerate incident resolution. Our team is building a highly scalable Rust-based log database that powers Health Log Analytics (HLA), enabling predictive AIOps capabilities for proactive anomaly detection across IT infrastructure. About the Role As an Engineering Manager (M3), you will lead a team of talented engineers within the TWF organization. This role combines technical leadership with people management, requiring strong communication skills and a strategic mindset to drive engineering excellence. You will lead the team through a multi-quarter rollout of our in-house log storage solution across the ServiceNow ITOM AIOps customer base. You will manage a team of experienced engineers who are passionate about high-performance systems and value autonomy and speed. This role requires someone who can balance the agility of a startup environment with the operational rigor of an enterprise platform. What you get to do in this role:

Requirements

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
  • 6–8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3–5 years in a remote management role with senior/staff engineers
  • Strong technical background in distributed systems or databases and modern software development practices
  • Experience managing in both startup and enterprise environments, able to establish structure without bureaucracy
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills across remote and cross-functional contexts

  • Experience with Rust, Go, or systems programming languages

  • Execute a multi-quarter rollout in 2026 with clear milestones as our solution becomes the foundation for ServiceNow's AIOPs platform
  • Manage a high-performing distributed team of senior engineers who value technical excellence and autonomy
  • Bring startup agility and Rust-based systems expertise to enterprise-scale impact
  • Partner with leadership who provide strategic support while giving you autonomy to drive execution

Benefits

  • For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $166,500 - $291,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits.
