About The Position

The sourcing manager is responsible for the acquisition of material at the most economic price possible, considering commodities market fluctuations, shipping and raw goods prices from both US based and global vendors which may entail purchasing materials in one country to be shipped to another country across the globe. The Manager and team are also responsible for the timely delivery of goods and may source a variety of categories and services used in the theme parks. Collaborates with business units to optimize strategic sourcing efforts, TCO (total cost of ownership) analysis and develop host-country-specific negotiation and pricing strategies for new projects to achieve optimal value. Prepare and execute RFP/RFI in conjunction with internal business partners in the area of construction services and related commodity groups. Leads meetings related to competitive analysis and competitive market place for constructions services and related commodity groups. Identifies long term sourcing strategy for theme park services and related commodity groups that can be used globally and nationwide. Also identifies critical long term issues that could affect the planning and decision-making process. Hosts periodic meetings with suppliers and business partners to review project performance, procure to pay (P2P) opportunities, and drive continuous improvement Demonstrate Exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned. This position will be responsible for general category management within the theme parks services arena. The sourcing manager will develop and provide updates to senior management on the competitive marketplace, commodity trends, and labor rates within the targeted commodity segments. This role will collaborate with internal and external business partners and must have a high level of business acumen and integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 5-7 years’ of experience in strategic sourcing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate to strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Powerpoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively though various levels of management
  • Occasional travel may be required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
