As a Manager, Strategic Sourcing supporting Direct Materials Procurement for medical devices, you will be trusted with optimizing procurement operations by managing sourcing strategies and supplier relationships to reduce costs and ensure quality in Irvine, CA. You will build effective relationships with internal partners to align sourcing strategies with procurement needs and lead teams to ensure productivity and alignment with departmental goals. In this role, a typical day will include: Analyzing expenditure base, identifying cost reduction projects, performing market analyses. Recommending short- and long-term sourcing strategies, including defined risk/benefit analysis considering overall business requirements Conducting comprehensive sourcing events for materials, services, and equipment. Maintaining accountability for Cash Flow, Raw Materials Inventory & Continuity of Supply Demonstrating value to internal customers (i.e. Manufacturing, Distribution, R&D/MS&T, Materials, Facilities & Administration entities) by becoming a valuable member of the team in pursuit of efficient spend, sustained supply, and high quality. Providing analytical, forward‑thinking, and project‑management leadership for site sourcing initiatives, ensuring alignment with all business elements and cross‑functional considerations. Establishing & monitoring Material Supply Agreements, Purchase Agreements & SAP Pricing Agreement Attachments. Initiating Requests for Information (RFI) & Requests for Proposal (RFP) for Direct Materials, Service Contracts, Capital Equipment & Machinery as required. Conducting negotiations with suppliers. Ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices and adherence to relevant laws and regulations. Facilitating contract execution and proper filing. Supporting suppliers and internal customers across the cross-functional procurement process (i.e. Liaison), maintaining strong internal customer and external supplier relationships.
