How You Will Achieve More: The Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for creating and executing sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories in support of all the G&A functions and additional categories as required. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Intellia’s polices and guidelines such as supplier selection, transaction approval, and supplier risk management. This role is also responsible for identifying and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with business stakeholders and cross functional teams. The role is highly collaborative and will require critical thinking skills, strong communications skills, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced matrix environment.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of category management and strategic sourcing processes, tools, and best practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, contract management system, e-Sourcing platform
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Customer focused, collaborative, and ability to influence without authority
  • Strong communication skills and can present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Project management skills to plan, manage progress, and drive for completion
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask in a flexible, fast-paced, and high growth mode organization
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 Years of experience with strategic sourcing, contract & negotiations, preferably with biotech and pharmaceutical industry
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with key stakeholders and finance to ensure effective alignment and proactively address outsourcing needs.
  • Category Management: Develop and execute clear category management strategies for assigned categories. This requires robust spend and contract analytics, market research, cost modeling to identify and leverage high value opportunities that deliver values (savings, performance, innovations, and quality & compliance) and risk mitigation to the business. Quantify and report savings of categories. Continually evaluate and monitor market conditions and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Lead all phases of the sourcing process, including business requirements definition, RFx, supplier evaluation and analysis, contract & negotiation, recommendation & governance endorsement as required.
  • Supplier Relationships and Risk Management: Support supplier relationships and risk management activities as required. Participate in process improvements and capabilities enhancement Support rollout and training of new policies, processes, and systems & tools
