About The Position

The Supply Chain Manager, reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, will be responsible for leading a team of Subcontract Managers with effective management skills to direct and manage employees to achieve program, project, department and business goals and outcomes while maintaining high levels of employee engagement, implementing risk mitigations, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements, and managing supply/demand challenges. Contribution to the company’s success will lead to the effort to develop and maintain a suite of Standard Work across an optimized Procurement process map and managing a team of Subcontract Managers to optimize key performance metrics including requisition to purchase order (PO) cycle time, PO lines meeting manufacturing need dates, pay terms, small business plan goals, and reduction of yellow/red suppliers. This role will also collaborate with Supply Chain Leadership, Contracts, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Program Management, and Material Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Total relevant professional experience to be minimum of 7 years in Procurement and/or Subcontracts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and program teams.
  • DoD contract experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR/ITAR laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience in managing various types of complex subcontracts, including hardware, software, complex services subcontracts, and follow-on/production subcontracts.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience as Cost Account Manager for Subcontracts managing budgets and sales forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and provide coaching and training to employees in Supply Chain and outside the Supply Chain organization.
  • Interacts as a functional representative/subject matter expert internally with Leadership.
  • Proficient in functional processes, policies and procedures. Interacts with external customers and auditors to provide information.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and advises Division level organization as required by internal and external audits.
  • Subject Matter Expert with advanced skills to communicate effectively across Supply Chain, other functional organizations, executive leadership and a wide array of professional levels and functions.
  • Subject Matter Expert with advance experience as a team lead. Advanced experience leading organizations supply chain activities, metrics, KPIs, proposals, cost savings/affordability and advise/communicate with senior management and cross-functional leadership.
  • Leads organizational supply chain activities, cost savings/affordability and advise/communicate with senior management and cross-functional leadership.
  • Support supply chain organization and cross-functional requests, and inquiries  (i.e., Contracts, Program Management Office (PMO), Business Development (BD), Engineering, Finance, Quality, Operations, Logistics, International Trade Compliance and Regulatory Government Compliance, Accounts Payable (AP), Property Management, etc.).
  • Subject Matter Expert with advanced understanding of production, development, services, repairs and sustainment efforts.
  • Subject Matter Expert with advanced knowledge of contract types (i.e., FFP, Cost Reimbursement, T&M, CPFF, CPIF, etc.), government proposals and Basis of Estimate (BOE).
  • Ability to obtain US Government clearance.
