We are looking for a Manager Supply Chain Procurement to join our Joints Platform SI&D (Strategy, Innovation & Deployment) team in West Chester, PA and the other locations In this role, you will shape our metals sourcing strategy, build strong supplier partnerships, and lead projects that improve supply chain performance. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to support growth, innovation, and long‑term value creation across our Orthopedics platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & Metals Expertise Lead sourcing initiatives to identify, assess, and select metals suppliers supporting forging, machining, casting categories.
  • Conduct spend analysis and gather market intelligence to support smart, data-driven decisions.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that improve quality, reduce cost, strengthen reliability, and ensure supply continuity.
  • Prepare and execute RFQs for medium‑ to high‑complexity sourcing needs, including cost modeling and commercial negotiations.
  • Collaborate with supplier leadership to align on quality, innovation, performance, and long‑term priorities.
  • Deliver on targets related to cost, service, quality, reliability, and growth.
  • Category Strategy Development Lead or support the development of category strategies using business needs assessments, market insights, and supplier performance data.
  • Partner with Business Engagement Leads and cross‑functional teams to ensure category strategies align with enterprise priorities.
  • Translate long‑range business needs into actionable, forward-looking plans.
  • Implement sourcing strategies that strengthen supply chain resiliency and support manufacturing and enterprise goals.
  • Supplier Relationship & Performance Management Build and manage strong supplier partnerships to drive performance and reduce risk.
  • Identify capability gaps and opportunities to expand or diversify the metals supply base.
  • Conduct Supplier Business Reviews and lead performance evaluations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop sustainable solutions that improve supplier reliability and long‑term value creation.
  • Contracting & Commercial Execution Apply procurement and business expertise to support negotiation and execution of supplier agreements.
  • Ensure contracts reflect performance expectations, business requirements, and strategic goals.
  • Monitor contract compliance and ensure suppliers meet Johnson & Johnson standards.
  • Project Management & Cross‑Functional Leadership Lead and support projects across the manufacturing network, including dual‑sourcing, capability development, and digital tool adoption.
  • Manage timelines, communication, and deliverables to ensure strong project outcomes.
  • Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Finance to drive alignment and measurable results.
