About The Position

Oversees the smooth operation of multi-user enterprise computer systems and data center environments, coordinating closely with network, security, cloud, and application engineering teams. Leads and mentors' technical staff responsible for monitoring and managing system resources, including CPU utilization, storage capacity, performance metrics, and service availability. Provides operational leadership across Unix/Linux platforms and associated infrastructure services. Guides the creation and maintenance of user profiles and privileged administrator accounts; ensures system documentation is current and aligned with operational standards; tunes system performance; supports installation of system-wide software; and oversees allocation of computing and storage resources. Serves as senior escalation point for infrastructure incidents and operational risks. Supports implementation of backup, recovery, and continuity processes. Contributes to change management, system hardening, and compliance activities aligned with organizational and federal standards. Interacts with internal stakeholders and external vendors to evaluate solutions and recommend hardware, software, and infrastructure improvements. Coordinates implementation of approved technologies and supports modernization initiatives, including automation, platform optimization, and hybrid cloud integration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience supporting enterprise computing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems administration, data center operations, or infrastructure engineering roles.
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred, including responsibility for task assignment, performance oversight, and technical guidance.
  • Experience supporting Unix/Linux-based environments within complex or highly regulated organizations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure components such as virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational risk, contribute to compliance efforts, and support large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Must be a U.S Citizen with the ability to obtain and Public Trust.
