About The Position

EmployIndy guides the local workforce ecosystem and makes strategic investments to remove barriers to quality employment for Marion County residents. The vision for EmployIndy is clear: for all Marion County residents to have access to services and training necessary to secure a livable wage and grow in a career that meets employer demand for talent. The Manager, Youth Apprenticeships serves as a critical employer advocate and program manager within EmployIndy’s Modern Apprenticeship initiative, dedicated to the long-term success and retention of both employer partners and youth apprentices. Acting as a hybrid client success manager, case manager, and program coordinator, this role provides high-touch support, coaching, and technical assistance throughout the three-year apprenticeship journey. With a strong employer-facing focus, the Manager proactively identifies and addresses potential barriers that may hinder optimal program implementation, ensuring a seamless and successful experience for all stakeholders. This role facilitates communication, coordinates essential program logistics, and implements solutions that create mutually beneficial outcomes. The Manager ensures high-quality, equitable experiences by anticipating challenges, promoting continuous improvement, and bridging employer needs with apprentice development. This position is pivotal in sustaining trusted partnerships and improving the overall effectiveness of the Modern Apprenticeship initiative.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in client success, workforce development, education, training or equivalent.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver’s license.
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Office products, AI tools, CRM
  • Soft Skills: Communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and persistence.

Responsibilities

  • Employer & Apprentice Relationship Management (30%) Serve as the main point of contact for employer partners and apprentices, providing coaching, technical assistance, and consistent communication.
  • Build trust-based relationships with stakeholders to support engagement and satisfaction.
  • Case Management & Apprentice Support (25%) Identify and address barriers to apprentice success through individualized support plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure equitable solutions and strong retention outcomes.
  • Meet apprentices at worksites or schools to maintain direct contact and offer coaching.
  • Program Coordination & Implementation (10%) Coordinate program logistics such as work schedules, evaluations, and training sessions with employers and apprentices.
  • Monitor and support ongoing performance and compliance with apprenticeship obligations.
  • Documentation & Reporting (20%) Maintain thorough records of services, communications, and apprentice progress using CRM systems.
  • Track retention, engagement, and success stories for use in reports and storytelling.
  • Employer Retention & Development (10%) Support the retention of employer partners and identify new opportunities for youth apprenticeships.
  • Share feedback and recommend improvements to tools, systems, and processes based on employer experiences.
  • Process Improvement & Stakeholder Feedback (5%) Provide insights on program improvements based on field experience.
  • Participate in team reflection and contribute to continuous improvement of apprenticeship delivery.
