About The Position

The Managing Director, Consulting & Advisory is a senior executive leader responsible for defining, scaling, and executing Convergint’s consulting and advisory strategy across security, digital infrastructure, and lifecycle services. This role serves as the executive owner of advisory offerings that help clients assess risk, optimize infrastructure, and maximize long-term value across the full lifecycle of their environments. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this leader will integrate consulting and advisory services into Convergint’s global commercial strategy - positioning Convergint as a trusted advisor before, during, and after technology deployment. The Managing Director will lead a focused leadership team, including the Director of Consulting Services Delivery and the Content Manager for Consulting & Advisory.

Requirements

  • Executive-level leadership experience (Managing Director, VP, or equivalent) in consulting, advisory, or professional services.
  • Proven success building and scaling advisory practices tied to security, digital infrastructure, or technology lifecycle services.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience influencing revenue growth through advisory-led strategies.
  • Deep understanding of client advisory models, risk-based consulting, and lifecycle-driven services.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep industry experience across sectors with a strong understanding of compliance regulations, risk management frameworks, and their impact on advisory services and end customers.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the enterprise strategy for consulting and advisory services across security, digital infrastructure, and lifecycle services.
  • Create a vision to ensure advisory offerings align with Convergint’s purpose, values, and long-term growth objectives. Engage stakeholders across the organization to drive innovation and change management.
  • Collaborate with the Convergint’s executive leadership on key strategic initiatives to ensure unity in strategy execution.
  • Elevate Convergint’s role as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate risk, resilience, compliance, and technology modernization.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for strategic client engagements, key customers, and complex advisory initiatives.
  • Develop scalable advisory offerings, pricing models, and value propositions tied to client outcomes and ROI.
  • Enable earlier and more strategic client engagement, shaping opportunities before solution design and deployment.
  • Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer and commercial leadership to embed consulting and advisory into Convergint’s go-to-market motion.
  • Support growth across security, digital infrastructure, and lifecycle services by linking advisory outcomes to downstream services.
  • Oversee consulting services delivery through the Director of Consulting Services Delivery.
  • Establish consistent methodologies, frameworks, and standards for advisory engagements across domains such as: Physical and cyber security strategy and risk assessment Digital infrastructure readiness, resilience, and optimization Technology lifecycle planning, roadmap development, and modernization
  • Ensure advisory engagements deliver measurable outcomes, client satisfaction, and repeatability at scale.
  • Create expectations for quality control standards and continuous improvement related to client deliverables and customer facing content.
  • Define Consulting & Advisory metrics and objectives to measure success.
  • Guide the development of insight-led content and thought leadership in partnership with the Content Manager for Consulting & Advisory.
  • Align content through collaboration with marketing, sales, and Convergint go-to-market strategies across Global Accounts, Verticals, and CTCs.
  • Position Convergint as a market leader in advisory services related to security, digital infrastructure, and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure content supports sales enablement, executive conversations, and long-term brand credibility.
  • Contribute to industry thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, and collaboration with Convergint leaders, customers, and external experts.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing consulting and advisory leadership team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Align team priorities with enterprise objectives and Convergint’s values-driven culture.
