Description • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and router instructions • Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements. • Setup and machine parts to blueprints and/or work instructions • Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines. • Act as in process inspector where required • Cross train in other areas of machines shop • Generate Non-conforming Material Reports as needed. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment • Communicate issues to supervisor • Perform basic preventative maintenance on Lathe equipment. • Monitor consumable supply levels and communicate shortages • Performs daily and regular cleaning on machinery and equipment. • Provides unbiased, proactive feedback to Engineering/Programming for process improvements. • Must adhere to & support safe work environment policies & 6S & lean manufacturing principles. • Ability to work OT as needed to support the business (includes weekends) Competencies Needed for Success: • Teamwork Orientation. • Time Management. • Performance Management. • Results Driven. • Strong problem-solving skills.
