About The Position

WE ARE SEEKING A SKILLED AND MOTIVATED MANUAL MACHINIST TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN ODESSA, TX. IN THIS HANDS-ON ROLE, YOU WILL OPERATE MANUAL MACHINE TOOLS TO PRODUCE PRECISION METAL COMPONENTS THAT MEET EXACT SPECIFICATIONS. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IS DETAIL-ORIENTED, SAFETY-CONSCIOUS, AND EXPERIENCED IN WORKING WITH LATHES, MILLS, AND GRINDERS IN A FAST-PACED MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT.

Requirements

1–3 years of experience as a Manual Machinist in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

Operate manual machine tools including lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate metal parts.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for each job.
Monitor machine operations and listen for irregular sounds to diagnose malfunctions.
Adjust cutting speeds and feeds to optimize performance and reduce vibration.
Measure and inspect finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers and dial indicators.
Ensure all parts conform to engineering drawings and quality standards.
Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Use both manual and computer-controlled machinery as needed.
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools.
Support other team members and perform additional duties as assigned.
