About The Position

Safely and accurately utilize the manual machining equipment listed below to repair/fabricate/manufacture typical industrial process components including (but not limited to) shafts, shaft sleeves, mechanical seal components, bushings, bearing housing sleeves, wear rings, etc. Manual lathe Milling machine Drill press Vertical turret lathe Key seater Manual shaft straightener The above list of duties and responsibilities is not necessarily all encompassing and may be modified when necessary, at the discretion of management, in accordance with business needs, customer demands, or other industry-related circumstances.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct, hands-on experience with manual machining equipment in an industrial machine shop environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Tenacious
  • Professionally articulate
  • Professional in appearance and actions
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and verbalize in a professional, organized manner
  • Successful in interfacing with direct leadership, company leadership, and fellow team members
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities
  • Self-starter and Self-directed
  • Vision: Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception
  • Sense of Sound: ability to hear alarms
  • Sense of Smell
  • Sense of Taste
  • Sense of Touch
  • Ability to Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
