About The Position
We’re seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to produce precision components in a clean, climate-controlled shop. The Manual Machinist will perform full setups, create custom workholding, and verify part quality to tight tolerances while collaborating with a team that values craftsmanship and accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven manual machining experience on mills and lathes.
- Strong blueprint reading, measurement, and inspection skills.
- Ability to plan operations and work independently on one-off parts.
- High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual mills and lathes (including Bridgeport).
- Perform complete setups and create custom workholding for unique parts.
- Read blueprints/drawings and apply tolerances to meet specifications.
- Measure with micrometers, calipers, gauges; complete first-article/self-inspection.
- Machine high-mix, low-volume parts with consistency and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot machining challenges and propose solutions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace (5S & safety standards).
