About The Position

Are you the problem-solver who sees patterns in PLC tags and pathways in single-line diagrams? If you thrive on turning complexity into dependable performance, Mondelēz International wants you to help power the future of snacking. In this role, you’ll blend leadership, systems thinking, and deep controls expertise to raise the bar across safety, quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, and engagement. Picture This Scenario A packaging line trips on a nuisance fault. You quickly parse RSLogix, trace a sensor input on an Allen‑Bradley PLC, and verify interlocks against the electrical drawings. You coordinate with the Safety Manager to validate protective devices, log learnings into the PM program, and coach the maintenance team so the issue doesn’t return. Meanwhile, you’re advising Engineering on a Foxboro DCS upgrade and aligning with production to keep volumes on target—today and on the overnight shift you’re supporting on-call.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in CPG manufacturing with TPM, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma tools.
  • Clear, persuasive communicator and coach; analytical and collaborative problem solver.
  • Engineer with project management skills, financial savvy, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechatronic/Electronic).
  • Allen‑Bradley PLCs and RSLogix proficiency; understanding of DCS and server/client systems.
  • Industrial power/control circuits and instrumentation expertise.
  • Networks: Fieldbus, Ethernet, ControlNet.
  • Drives: AC/DC (Allen‑Bradley & Toshiba).
  • Ability to read schematics/drawings and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; operates with minimal supervision in a demanding environment.
  • Comfort engaging with vendors, operators, team leads, and maintenance trades.
  • Maintenance background strongly preferred; technical supervision experience.
  • English / Spanish required.
  • Open to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift with on-call support for off shifts as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Oregon electrical license preferred.
  • Experience in the food industry; familiarity with Mondelēz projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advance team capability: mentor electricians and technicians on PLCs (Allen‑Bradley/RSLogix) and DCS (Foxboro); spread best practices across maintenance.
  • Institutionalize preventive maintenance for electrical, instrumentation, and controls; keep documentation and standards current and accurate.
  • Protect the electrical distribution network with solid inspection and maintenance strategies focused on reliability, sustainability, and security.
  • Champion compliance with OSHA and all Federal, State, and Local safety, health, and environmental regulations; ensure safe installations via design, protection, procedures, and training.
  • Provide technical leadership to electricians and contractors; deliver shift support and on-call coverage when needed.
  • Partner cross-functionally to resolve issues and implement improvements; collaborate with Engineering on capital projects and productivity gains.
  • Lead governance routines, KPI reviews, and continuous improvement with a zero-loss mindset benchmarked to best-in-class operations.
  • Support the site’s annual operating plan; coach Line Leaders and clearly communicate priorities and KPIs.
  • Uphold corporate standards and policies (Quality, Food Safety & GMP, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Sustainability, Code of Conduct, operational standards, internal audits, and local legal requirements).
  • Build a strong team: recruit, develop, and engage talent; strengthen technical and behavioral capabilities at all levels; partner with internal and external stakeholders.
