About The Position

Translate electrical schematics and engineering documentation into practical manufacturing processes that enable efficient, high-quality production. Develop work instructions, create manufacturing routings, and provide hands-on troubleshooting support on the production line to resolve electrical issues and minimize downtime. Serve as the technical bridge between engineering design and manufacturing execution, supporting internal customers across departments to ensure seamless implementation of electrical systems.

Requirements

  • Experience with PLC/HMIs, including Allen Bradley (RSLogix 500/5000) and Beckhoff/Codesys.
  • Hands-on approach with willingness to work directly on the shop floor to diagnose and resolve production issues in real-time.
  • Proficient in using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, meggers) for diagnostics and hands-on experience with wiring, rewiring, and electrical assembly rework.
  • Experience with DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly).
  • Strong understanding of electrical CAD design; AutoCAD preferred.
  • Experience with motion control systems.
  • Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 programming languages, specifically Structured Text and Ladder Logic.
  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical control systems and debugging issues on the production floor.
  • Ability and desire to learn new programming languages and technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to shift priorities frequently and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 0-20% monthly; higher travel expected during initial onboarding period).
  • Engineering degree and 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience in HMI, PLC, and motion control troubleshooting.
  • Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology degree preferred.

  • Preferred experience with electrical assembly troubleshooting and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, modify, test, and troubleshoot new and existing systems, including HMI and PLC software, electrical layouts, and technical documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction projects, NCR (Non-Conformance Report) resolution, and other manufacturing duties as required.
  • Create and maintain documentation of existing systems.
