Requirements

  • Minimum four year degree in a related engineering field, or 3-5 years manufacturing engineering experience in lieu of a degree
  • Familiarity with quality and regulatory requirements including FDA’s Quality System Regulation, ISO 13485, etc
  • English as the primary language, secondary languages are desirable but not required
  • Ability to supervise technicians as needed
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with management, technicians, and production
  • Good documentation skills
  • A good understanding of computers and the software to perform needed tasks such as word processing, spreadsheet, internet searching programs
  • An understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment functions
  • Minimum 3-5 years manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in the medical device industry

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing as required
  • Work within the company’s quality policy to fulfill the company’s needs and objectives
  • Process improvements which include qualifications/validations of processes
  • Preventive maintenance and repair of production equipment
  • Documentation updates
  • Process improvement/qualification/validation testing and evaluation
  • Work with production workers, production supervisors, management on a daily basis to support the production line as needed
  • Work with R&D as needed to support process development and process improvement
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed
