The Senior Manufacturing Engineer works collaboratively with Manufacturing Engineers and plant personnel to analyze process issues and troubleshoot machining and assembly equipment to ensure optimal production performance. This role is responsible for selecting and implementing equipment within the facility, as well as leading, developing, and supporting team members under their direction. What you can look forward to as Senior Manufacturing Engineer: Leading complex projects to troubleshoot, improve, and upgrade production equipment to enhance machine functionality and overall performance. Analyzing workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to design efficient equipment and workspace layouts. Collaborating with manufacturing engineers and design teams to ensure product designs, tooling, and production methods support efficient manufacturing. Validating product specifications and evaluate equipment, tooling, materials, and fixturing for purchase, ensuring alignment with quality and technical requirements. Assessing production equipment performance, validate production times and staffing needs, and provide cost based recommendations for management decisions. Overseeing APQP and Lean based projects for existing and new production programs, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting budget, performance, and timing goals. Leading functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, analyzing PFMEAs and workflows, and applying advanced statistical and problem solving methods to meet industry standards. Supporting engineers across levels in daily departmental tasks, participating in meetings, managing special engineering projects, and ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and corporate standards.
