SUMMARY: Primary responsibilities in manufacturing are to drive department and enterprise key initiatives through continuous process improvement, improving customer satisfaction, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and eliminating variation in manufacturing processes. Candidates for this position should have energy and passion to improve both our production and functional processes while leading with integrity.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
• 1-4 years of relevant experience
• Strong project management skills
• Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
• Positive attitude with a desire to build relationships and serve both our internal and external customers
• Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for daily manufacturing operations in the 400S Casement plant
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements within the value-stream
• Work closely with production supervisors, team leads, and production employees to perform problem solving and root cause analysis
• Lead continuous improvement projects aligned to lean manufacturing principles
• Manage the design, procurement, and startup of capital equipment projects
• Utilize sound project management tools for complex projects and key initiatives
• Promote a hands-on, high involvement approach to problem solving
