This role is critical in ensuring manufacturing stability, driving continuous improvement, and resolving technical challenges that impact safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Aerospace or defense industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily engineering support to assigned Linear Detection manufacturing cells.
  • Troubleshoot process, equipment and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
  • Lead structured root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support resolution of nonconformances and customer-related quality issues.
  • Maintain and update manufacturing documentation including routers and work instructions.
  • Drive improvements in yield, productivity, uptime, and capacity.
  • Lead cycle time reduction and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Support engineering change implementation and risk assessments.
  • Validate process changes through trials, capability studies, and data analysis.
  • Analyze production data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support tooling updates, equipment upgrades, and small capital projects.
  • Assist with equipment qualification and process validation activities.
  • Recommend preventive maintenance improvements.
